The Crossover Labs Interactive Workshop train is rolling in to Stoke Your Fires in Stoke-on-Trent with Popathon who’ll be remixing the internet using Mozilla’s Popcorn Maker JS.

Part of Mozilla’s Popcorn project, Popcorn.js is an HTML5 media framework written in JavaScript for filmmakers and web developers to create time-based interactive media on the web. Popcorn.js allows video, audio and other media to control elements of a webpage. Combining our library with a mixture of standard HTML + JavaScript, authors can let their media be the “conductor” of interactive and immersive experiences. You can check out the types of things you can do with Popcorn.JS here http://popcornjs.org/demos

Popathon are Philo van Kemenade and Gilles Pradeau, technologist and filmmaker duo with a passion for tapping in to the narrative potential of the web. Popathon events have been held at events around Europe including Docs Barcelona, Mozilla Festival and Open City Docs.

Stoke Your Fires Film Festival is Stoke-On-Trent’s very own celebration of regional, national and international filmmaking and we’re super excited to be bringing the Interactive Workshops tour to the potteries on March 6th.
