Supported by Creative Skillset Crossover Labs and Sheffield Doc/Fest are proud to be running the Cross Platform Producer Programme to develop and encourage Cross Platform Production.
The first event was a day of talks from experts from across the creative disciplines giving in depth presentations on how they’ve tackled cross platform productions. The second stage will see 5 cross platform productions receiving mentoring from Crossover Labs team of mentors before attending Interactive at Sheffield at Sheffield Doc/Fest for opportunities to develop and fund your projects.

Interactive at Nottingham was a day long event featuring creators from across the media landscape explaining how they approached cross media content and used different platforms to tell their stories, reach new audiences and develop revenue streams. We analysed and explored the planning, designing, financing, distribution and impact of projects designed to work across platforms and discuss how you can tell stories in a cross platform landscape.

If you’re working on a cross platform or interactive project, Crossover Labs is offering mentoring to 5 projects to help bring them to market. Whether your project is in early planning stages or you’ve nearly completed the project and are looking to form a roll out plan Crossover Labs team of mentors will be able to take your project to the next level.
As part of the mentoring you’ll receive:
Hands on mentoring sessions
Mark Atkin and a specifically selected mentor will work with you in 2 one day sessions between March and May to help you devise, develop and deliver your cross platform project.
Crossover Market Application*
The Crossover Market is one of the UK’s primary marketplaces for funding cross platform projects. We’ll guide you through your application, offering advice on what to include and how best to sell your project. Should you be successful you’ll pitch your project in match made 1 to 1 meetings with funders of cross platform projects. Should your application not be successful we’ll instead create a guide to alternative funding opportunities at Interactive at Sheffield including live pitches, round tables and networking opportunities.
Sheffield Doc/Fest Accreditation
As part of the mentoring you’re receive a ticket for Sheffield Doc/Fest, the home of Interactive at Sheffield. Interactive at Sheffield is a weekend of talks, parties and funding opportunities for cross platform projects and we’ll give you a road map to follow in order to get the most benefit out of the festival for you and your project.
